2: Nehemiah – Singing with Inspiration
In our Memory Text, Nehemiah prays ‘O great and awesome God’ as we sing in
Hymn 86, “How Great Thou Art”,
Hymn 88, “I Sing the Mighty Power of God” and in 
Hymn 90, “Eternal God, Whose Power Upholds”.
Nehemiah reminds God of His promises in Nehemiah 1:8, 9 on Monday as does
Hymn 510, “If You But Trust in God to Guide You”.
Hymn 478, “Sweet Hour of Prayer” gives the emotion and the feelings of Nehemiah in his four months of prayer and fasting (Tuesday).
We can see on Thursday that Nehemiah is
‘Standing on the Promises”, Hymn 518, as he is ‘armed with the knowledge of God’s promises’ and moves forward with God’s plans.
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
