  1. "Our God sacrifices Himself on the Cross to obtain not His but our pleasure and acceptance"

I'm experienced a painful moment, my girlfriend is leaving me to someone else, I'm ready to sacrifice everything to obtain her pleasure and acceptance!

I can now experience Jesus'feelings when I don't accept him, it's really painful!
I see now what he did at Calvary, something which I'm not able to do for my sweetheart, even though I love her!

May Christ teach us how to love and to accept what he did for us; stay blessed dear pastor!

  2. Another excellent post William.

"They (pioneers) studied for themselves and we must study for ourselves." In further support for this point, I offer the following:

"Investigation of every point that has been received as truth will richly repay the searcher; he will find precious gems. And in closely investigating every jot and tittle which we think is established truth, in comparing scripture with scripture, we may discover errors in our interpretation of Scripture. Christ would have the searcher of his word sink the shaft deeper into the mines of truth. If the search is properly conducted, jewels of inestimable value will be found. The word of God is the mine of the unsearchable riches of Christ." (RH July 12, 1898, par. 15)

  3. "...We must study for ourselves" I support this quotation with thèse bible versés: Précept upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little make a great lamp unto the feet and a brillant light unto the path
of the weaned child(teachable)who searches the scripture daily for the goodly pearl (heaven) Isa 28:9,10;Psalm 119:105;Act 17:11;John 11:39;Mat 13:45
