Sabbath: Holy Ground — 7 Comments

  1. Wow! I really like the comparison of the Sabbath to Holy ground and the sanctuary. It brings the Sabbath and alive and makes it so real. I also find it interesting that God did not bother naming the other days. Beautiful!

  2. Very nice article on our need for rest and communion with God, as well as God's knowledge of our needs even before sin came into the world.

  3. Truly a sabbath day is a holy ground upon which we should trade softly and genly, knowing what to do and what not to do.

    • Good question Beene. Have you ever been in love and your heart ached to be with your beloved. You would spend time with him or her and you would wish it would never stop. Did you ever run out of things to do together? Did you keep looking at your watch to say, only another hour to go and I can be by myself again?

When you think about Jesus in the same way you will be creative in the way you worship and rest on the Sabbath day. The really special thing about Sabbath is that if you share it you double your blessing. Sharing with a community of believers is something really special, where you can encourage and by encouraged, where you can learn and grow together, and strength one another.
