  1. So true William - just think of all the people reached by SSNet, how many are there now getting these blogs?

    • Hi Shirley, a quick estimate shows around 240,000 different people visit the SSNET blog every month multiple times. On Facebook we have 233,000 followers. Social media is a great way to "share" the gospel with your friends.

  2. William it is interesting how you have made the choices from UPS employee to lay pastor. Your membership at Plant city? speaks for itself. Your choices certainly appear to be Holy Spirit led. If it were me or someone else I would likely have a problem with my ego. I am not in a position to judge, so God be with you till we meet again.
    Friend, Paul.

    • Sabbath School Net often publishes articles that expand on ideas that are related to the lesson, to encourage us to think and study deeper. The lessons as provided by the Sabbath School Dept of the Church have always been considered the starting point for study, not the final word on a topic.

  3. William, I have been mulling over those quotations from Ephesians 3:20 and John 14:12. The Father dreams of big things for each of his children. That is, you and I and every one who take the name of Christ are called just as Jesus is to do great things for the Father. When this dawned on me, it appeared to be completely unrealistic. How on earth could any human being (especially me) ever do anything closer than a very pale imitation of Jesus?

But then it occurred to me that it is not about me – it is all about Jesus. Jesus who after encouraging his disciples with those words you quote from John 14 went to Gethsemane, arrest, trials and the cross. And to prove what? The unimaginable love of the Father for each one of us. This same Jesus who took the role of a slave and stooped to wash the street muck from his disciples feet at their Passover meal, this same Jesus is our High Priest who loves us and stoops to wash us from muck of our sins in his own blood, and by doing so makes us kings and priests to his God and Father. Glory and dominion be to him forever and ever, amen. Revelation 1:5-6.

All I have to do is let him wash me (clean me from the inside out), take up my cross (death to tyranny of self) and follow him where ever he leads me (regardless of what that looks like to me). Whatever he calls me to do is “great”. It is not on me (impossible) – it is all on him (supernaturally possible). I keep my focus on Jesus who makes the impossible reality. He is the one “who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power (his power) that works in us.” Ephesians 3:20

    Just a thought.
