  1. Our daily conduct in word and deed, is key for testimony of Jesus Christ. Our faith in action is what catches the attention of others.

  2. Thank you Curtis for the insights. One significant result of the persecution as explained was the swift spread of the word of God. This calls to mind that God has through the ages led His children faithfully and sometimes surprisingly. He is capable of using astonishing methods to advance His work. If in times of peace we are not able to preach, God may cause us to carry out the noble task under very difficult times. Let us therefore not wait until times are hard to do His work.

  3. Curtis, you have touched on several observations that I also have questioned. Of the six that you ask at the end, and they were all good questions, the one that troubles me also is the manner in which our worship services are conducted. Questions 5&6. It seems that entertainment and self, command the most attention, rather than on the God that should be worshipped in our most humble way. Paul underwent some very painful ordeals. Such as being stoned and dragged out of the city and left for dead, Acts 14:19,20. We would probably have given up by now, but Paul had the traits that God could use to further His plans.
