“Heaven” on Earth
(All Bible texts are in the NKJV Bible unless otherwise
indicated)
Sabbath Afternoon
Memory text: Hebrews 8:5
5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was
divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He
said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you
on the mountain.”
Sunday - The First “Sanctuary” on Earth
Genesis 1:31-2:3
31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very
good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Genesis 2:1-3
1 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were
finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had
done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had
done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in
it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
Exodus 39:32
32 Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was
finished. And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD
had commanded Moses; so they did.
Exodus 39:43
43 Then Moses looked over all the work, and indeed they had done it; as
the LORD had commanded, just so they had done it. And Moses blessed
them.
Exodus 40:33
33 And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar,
and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
Genesis 3:8
8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the
cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence
of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
2 Samuel 7:6,7
6 For I have not dwelt in a house since the time that I brought the
children of Israel up from Egypt, even to this day, but have moved
about in a tent and in a tabernacle. 7 Wherever I have moved about with
all the children of Israel, have I ever spoken a word to anyone from
the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people Israel,
saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’
Genesis 2:15
15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to
tend and keep it.
Numbers 3:7, 8
7 And they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole
congregation before the tabernacle of meeting, to do the work of the
tabernacle. 8 Also they shall attend to all the furnishings of the
tabernacle of meeting, and to the needs of the children of Israel, to
do the work of the tabernacle.
Exodus 25:31-36
31 “You shall also make a lampstand of pure gold; the lampstand shall
be of hammered work. Its shaft, its branches, its bowls, its ornamental
knobs, and flowers shall be of one piece. 32 And six branches shall
come out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of one side,
and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side. 33 Three
bowls shall be made like almond blossoms on one branch, with an
ornamental knob and a flower, and three bowls made like almond blossoms
on the other branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower—and so for
the six branches that come out of the lampstand. 34 On the lampstand
itself four bowls shall be made like almond blossoms, each with its
ornamental knob and flower. 35 And there shall be a knob under the
first two branches of the same, a knob under the second two branches of
the same, and a knob under the third two branches of the same,
according to the six branches that extend from the lampstand. 36 Their
knobs and their branches shall be of one piece; all of it shall be one
hammered piece of pure gold.
1 Kings 6:18
18 The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with ornamental buds and
open flowers. Allwas cedar; there was no stone to be seen.
Genesis 3:24
24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the
garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard
the way to the tree of life.
Exodus 25:18-22
18 And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall
make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 Make one cherub at one
end, and the other cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim
at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy seat. 20 And the
cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat
with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the
cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. 21 You shall put the mercy
seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that
I will give you. 22 And there I will meet with you, and I will speak
with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which
are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you
in commandment to the children of Israel.
Exodus 25:1
1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
Exodus 30:11
11 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
Exodus 30:17
17 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
Exodus 30:22
22 Moreover the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
Exodus 30:34
34 And the LORD said to Moses: “Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha
and galbanum, and pure frankincense with these sweet spices; there
shall be equal amounts of each.
Exodus 31:1
31 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
Exodus 31:12-17
12 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 13 “Speak also to the children
of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign
between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that
I am the LORD who sanctifies you. 14 You shall keep the Sabbath,
therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely
be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be
cut off from among his people.15 Work shall be done for six days, but
the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any
work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Therefore
the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath
throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign
between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD
made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and
was refreshed.’”
Exodus 40:17
17 And it came to pass in the first month of the second year, on the
first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.
Read Genesis 2
Isaiah 51:3
3 For the LORD will comfort Zion,
He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the LORD;
Joy and gladness will be found in it,
Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.
Ezekiel 28:13
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God;
Every precious stone was your covering:
The sardius, topaz, and diamond,
Beryl, onyx, and jasper,
Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.
The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes
Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
Ezekiel 31:9
9 I made it beautiful with a multitude of branches,
So that all the trees of Eden envied it,
That were in the garden
of God.’
Monday – Copy of the Pattern
Exodus 25:9
9 According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the
tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall
make it.
Exodus 25:40
40 And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was
shown you on the mountain.
Hebrews 8:5
5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was
divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He
said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you
on the mountain.”
Hebrews 9:23, 24
23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the
heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things
themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not
entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true,
but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
Exodus 26:30
30 And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which
you were shown on the mountain.
Exodus 27:8
8 You shall make it hollow with boards; as it was shown you on the
mountain, so shall they make it.
Numbers 8:4
4 Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold; from its
shaft to its flowers it was hammered work. According to the pattern
which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
Revelation 11:19
19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His
covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises,
thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
Revelation 14:17
17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he
also having a sharp sickle.
Revelation 15:5
5 After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle
of the testimony in heaven was opened.
Hebrews 8:2
2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord
erected, and not man.
Hebrews 9:11
11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the
greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not
of this creation.
Hebrews 8:5
5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was
divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He
said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you
on the mountain.”
Tuesday - Jesus as the Sanctuary
John 2:19-21
19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three
days I will raise it up.”
20 Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this
temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”
21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body.
John 1:14
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace
and truth.
Exodus 40:34-35
34 Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of
the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter the
tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory
of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
2 Chronicles 7:1-3
1 When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and
consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the
LORD filled the temple. 2 And the priests could not enter the house of
the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’s house. 3
When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the
glory of theLORD on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on
the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever.”
Matthew 27:51
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to
bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,
John 6:35
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me
shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 8:12
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the
world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light
of life.”

Christ and the Law
I am asked concerning the law in Galatians. What law is the
schoolmaster to bring us to Christ? I answer: Both the ceremonial and
the moral code of ten commandments.
Christ was the foundation of the whole Jewish economy. The death of
Abel was in consequence of Cain’s refusing to accept God’s plan in the
school of obedience to be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ typified
by the sacrificial offerings pointing to Christ. Cain refused the
shedding of blood which symbolized the blood of Christ to be shed for
the world. This whole ceremony was prepared by God, and Christ became
the foundation of the whole system. This is the beginning of its work
as the schoolmaster to bring sinful human agents to a consideration of
Christ the Foundation of the whole Jewish economy.
All who did service in connection with the
sanctuary were being educated constantly in regard to the intervention
of Christ in behalf of the human race. This service was designed to
create in every heart a love for the law of God, which is the law of
His kingdom. The sacrificial offering was to be an object lesson of the
love of God revealed in Christ—in the suffering, dying victim, who took
upon Himself the sin of which man was guilty, the innocent being made
sin for us.
In the contemplation of this great theme of salvation we see Christ’s
work. Not only the promised gift of the Spirit, but also the nature and
character of this sacrifice and intervention are subjects which should
create in our hearts elevated, sacred, high ideas of the law of God,
which holds its claims upon every human agency. The violation of that
law in the small act of eating of the forbidden fruit, brought upon man
and upon the earth the consequence of disobedience to the holy law of
God. The nature of the intervention should ever make man afraid to do
the smallest action in disobedience to God’s requirement.
There should be a clear understanding of that which constitutes sin,
and we should avoid the least approach to step over the boundaries from
obedience to disobedience.
God would have every member of His creation understand the great work
of the infinite Son of God in giving His life for the salvation of the
world. “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,
that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth
us not, because it knew him not” (1 John 3:1).
When he sees in Christ the embodiment of infinite and disinterested
love and benevolence, there is awakened in the heart of the sinner a
thankful disposition to follow where Christ is drawing.—Manuscript 87,
1900.
Especially the Moral Law
“The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be
justified by faith” (Galatians 3:24). In this scripture, the Holy
Spirit through the apostle is speaking especially of the moral law. The
law reveals sin to us, and causes us to feel our need of Christ and to
flee unto Him for pardon and peace by exercising repentance toward God
and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wednesday - The Church as the Sanctuary
Matthew 27:50, 51
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His
spirit.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to
bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,
1 Corinthians 3:16, 17
16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit
of God dwells in you?17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will
destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
1 Corinthians 6:19, 20
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit
who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For
you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in
your spirit, which are God’s.
2 Corinthians 6:16
16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the
temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but
fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20
having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole
building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of
God in the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:15-18
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then
take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly
not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one
body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But
he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the
body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what
fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has
light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what
part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the
temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As
God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My
people.”
17 Therefore
“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is
unclean,
And I will
receive you.”
18 “I will
be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LORD Almighty.”
7 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves
from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the
fear of God.
2 Corinthians 6:18
18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LORD Almighty.”
1 Peter 2:5
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a
holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God
through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:9
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who
called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Thursday – New Creation
Revelation 7:15-17
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and
night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among
them. 16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun
shall not strike them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb who is in the
midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living
fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their
eyes.”
Revelation 1:6
6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be
glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 5:10
10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
Revelation 20:6
6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over
such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God
and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Revelation 7:15
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and
night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among
them.
Revelation 21:1-22
21 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the
first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I,
John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from
God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud
voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself
will be with them and betheir God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear
from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”
And He said to me,“Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the
Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life
freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things,
and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly,
unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns
with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the
seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will
show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”10 And he carried me away in the
Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the
holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory
of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone,
clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve
gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which
are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:13 three
gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south,
and three gates on the west.
14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were
the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with
me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The
city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth.
And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its
length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall:
one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man,
that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper;
and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the
wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the
first foundation wasjasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony,
the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the
seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth
chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The
twelve gates weretwelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl.
And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb
are its temple.
1 Kings 6:20
20 The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and
twenty cubits high. He overlaid it with pure gold, and overlaid the
altar of cedar.
Friday – Futher Study
Ellen G. White, The
Great Controversy, pp. 674-677.
“I saw a new heaven and
a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed
away.” Revelation 21:1. The fire that consumes the wicked purifies the
earth. Every trace of the curse is swept away. No eternally burning
hell will keep before the ransomed the fearful consequences of sin.
One reminder alone remains: Our Redeemer will ever bear the marks of
His crucifixion. Upon His wounded head, upon His side, His hands and
feet, are the only traces of the cruel work that sin has wrought. Says
the prophet, beholding Christ in His glory: “He had bright beams coming
out of His side: and there was the hiding of His power.” Habakkuk 3:4,
margin. That pierced side whence flowed the crimson stream that
reconciled man to God—there is the Saviour’s glory, there “the hiding
of His power.” “Mighty to save,” through the sacrifice of redemption,
He was therefore strong to execute justice upon them that despised
God’s mercy. And the tokens of His humiliation are His highest honor;
through the eternal ages the wounds of Calvary will show forth His
praise and declare His power.
“O Tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, unto
Thee shall it come, even the first dominion.” Micah 4:8. The time has
come to which holy men have looked with longing since the flaming sword
barred the first pair from Eden, the time for “the redemption of the
purchased possession.” Ephesians 1:14. The earth originally given to
man as his kingdom, betrayed by him into the hands of Satan, and so
long held by the mighty foe, has been brought back by the great plan of
redemption. All that was lost by sin has been restored. “Thus saith the
Lord ... that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He
created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited.” Isaiah 45:18.
God’s original purpose in the creation of the earth is fulfilled as it
is made the eternal abode of the redeemed. “The righteous shall inherit
the land, and dwell therein forever.” Psalm 37:29.
A fear of making the future inheritance seem
too material has led many to spiritualize away the very truths which
lead us to look upon it as our home. Christ assured His disciples that
He went to prepare mansions for them in the Father’s house. Those who
accept the teachings of God’s word will not be wholly ignorant
concerning the heavenly abode. And yet, “eye hath not seen, nor ear
heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9. Human
language is inadequate to describe the reward of the righteous. It will
be known only to those who behold it. No finite mind can comprehend the
glory of the Paradise of God.
In the Bible the inheritance of the saved is called “a country.”
Hebrews 11:14-16. There the heavenly Shepherd leads His flock to
fountains of living waters. The tree of life yields its fruit every
month, and the leaves of the tree are for the service of the nations.
There are ever-flowing streams, clear as crystal, and beside them
waving trees cast their shadows upon the paths prepared for the
ransomed of the Lord. There the wide-spreading plains swell into hills
of beauty, and the mountains of God rear their lofty summits. On those
peaceful plains, beside those living streams, God’s people, so long
pilgrims and wanderers, shall find a home.
“My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure
dwellings, and in quiet resting places.” “Violence shall no more be
heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou
shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.” “They shall
build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat
the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they
shall not plant, and another eat: ... Mine elect shall long enjoy the
work of their hands.” Isaiah 32:18; 60:18; Isaiah 65:21, 22.
There, “the wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them;
and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.” “Instead of the
thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come
up the myrtle tree.” “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the
leopard shall lie down with the kid; ... and a little child shall lead
them.” “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,” saith
the Lord.Isaiah 35:1; 55:13; Isaiah 11:6, 9.
Pain cannot exist in the atmosphere of heaven. There will be no more
tears, no funeral trains, no badges of mourning. “There shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying: ... for the former things are
passed away.” “The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that
dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.” Revelation 21:4;
Isaiah 33:24.
There is the New Jerusalem, the metropolis of the glorified new earth,
“a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the
hand of thy God.” “Her light was like unto a stone most precious, even
like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.” “The nations of them which are
saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do
bring their glory and honor into it.” Saith the Lord: “I will rejoice
in Jerusalem, and joy in My people.” “The tabernacle of God is with
men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God
Himself shall be with them, and be their God.” Isaiah 62:3; Revelation
21:11, 24; Isaiah 65:19; Revelation 21:3.
In the City of God “there shall be no night.” None will need or desire
repose. There will be no weariness in doing the will of God and
offering praise to His name. We shall ever feel the freshness of the
morning and shall ever be far from its close. “And they need no candle,
neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light.”
Revelation 22:5. The light of the sun will be superseded by a radiance
which is not painfully dazzling, yet which immeasurably surpasses the
brightness of our noontide. The glory of God and the Lamb floods the
Holy City with unfading light. The redeemed walk in the sunless glory
of perpetual day.
“I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are
the temple of it.” Revelation 21:22. The people of God are privileged
to hold open communion with the Father and the Son. “Now we see through
a glass, darkly.”
1
Corinthians 3:16-17
16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit
of God dwells in you?17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will
destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
