Memory Text: "But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them. Yes, many a time He turned His anger away, and did not stir up all His wrath" (Psalm 78:38, NKJV).
1But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was angry. 2And he prayed unto Jehovah, and said, I pray thee, O Jehovah, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I hasted to flee unto Tarshish; for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and repentest thee of the evil. 3Therefore now, O Jehovah, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. 4And Jehovah said, Doest thou well to be angry?

12And Jesus entered into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold the doves;
14And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
16and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise.
13And they were bringing unto him little children, that he should touch them: and the disciples rebuked them.
4And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

5And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.
32For though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
12But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon.
24And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith Jehovah.

35Vengeance is mine, and recompense,
At the time when their foot shall slide:
For the day of their calamity is at hand,
And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
22Say not thou, I will recompense evil:
Wait for Jehovah, and he will save thee.
29Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me;
I will render to the man according to his work.
17Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honorable in the sight of all men. 18If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men. 19Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord. 20But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
30For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
19Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord.

5Wherefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from God.
