1. Have a volunteer read Exodus 33:12-17.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
- What did Moses ask God to teach him? Why did he deman God’s presence to lead them?
- Personal Application: What is the difference between knopwing about God and knowing God? What is your relationship with Him? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your relatives states, “How do you explain the beuty of God’s character based on God’s self-revelation in Exodus to those who want to know what your God is like?” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Exodus 33:18-23.
- Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
- How did God answer Moses’ request to see His glory?
- Personal Application: How much time do you spend focusing on the cross and what it tells you about the character of God? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your friends states, “When I think about people in church and their witness, I often look at their character to see if they are kind, gracious, humble, and forgiving to see if Christ is really working in them.
