We Are Not Left Alone to Fight in the Cosmic Battle

Sabbath School Net Posted on February 25, 2025 by William EarnhardtMarch 3, 2025avatar

We are all in the midst of the cosmic battle. We are all wounded warriors struggling to survive and even thrive. The other day, to remind myself how everyone is fighting a battle against the adversary in this conflict, I walked into my local grocery store. However, this time I did something different. Instead of … Continue reading –>

Satan Tempting Jesus

Daily Lesson for Wednesday 26th of February 2025 Satan’s quest to usurp God’s throne is also revealed in the temptation narratives found in Matthew 4:1-25 and Luke 4:1-44. In the striking encounter between Jesus and the tempter, much is revealed about the nature of the conflict. Here we see the reality of the great controversy … Continue reading –>

9: The Cosmic Conflict — Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on February 24, 2025 by Corinne KnopperFebruary 24, 2025avatar

The studies in this quarters pamphlet encourage us to see God’s Love and Justice, just as we may sing in  Hymn 79 – O Love of God, How Strong and True! which is a beautiful theme hymn for our studies.  The story of the wheat and tares gives us our first hymn to enjoy:  Hymn 369 … Continue reading –>

Lucifer Standing in Heaven

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 25th of February 2025 Genesis 1:1-31; Genesis 2:1-25; Genesis 3:1-24 alone shows that evil existed before the fall of Adam and Eve. Even if evil was not a concrete reality in Eden, conceptually, “evil” has already appeared, in the name of “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis … Continue reading –>

Eve Being Tempted

Daily Lesson for Monday 24th of February 2025 Parallel to the question in the parable—about why there is bad seed in the field if the owner planted only good seed—is another question: if God created the world entirely good, how did evil arise here? Read Genesis 1:31. What do God’s words reveal about the state … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
