1: Education in the Garden of Eden – Singing with Inspiration
Welcome to the fourth quarter of 2020 with our new topic of Education.
Hymn 193 – Savior, Teach me and
Hymn 266 – Spirit of God may be used as the theme hymns for education this quarter.
Our first bit of education for this quarter commences at the very beginning of this earth’s history in creation, where the first school was convened in the Garden of Eden. Our Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal has a number of creation hymns from which to choose:
Hymn 2 – All Creatures of Our God and King,
Hymn 72 – Creator of the Stars of Night,
Hymn 320 – Lord of Creation,
Hymn 558 – The Fruit of His Creation, and
Hymn 385 – Crowning Jewel of Creation.
With the intrusion of Satan in the Garden of Eden, we find the perfect solution is to
Trust and Obey – Hymn 590 our God.
God set about “Regaining What Was Lost” as He came walking in the Garden in the cool of the evening –
Hymn 373 – Seeking the Lost. Then came the redemption that was needed in Jesus:
Hymn 295 – Jesus Calls Us, and
Hymn 337/338 – Redeemed!
As this old world groans it’s last breaths, we look forward to
The Homeland – Hymn 436 where there will be no more temptations (Thursday).
If you do not know any of the hymns listed above, you will find the music for each one at: https://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
