10: Husbands and Wives Together at the Cross – Singing with Inspiration
The book of Ephesians does show us “How to Follow Jesus in Trying Times”:
Hymn 623 – I Will Follow Thee, My Saviour so that our actions will always speak louder than our words.
Our Memory Text encourages us to have no spot or wrinkle as does
Hymn 318 – Whiter Than Snow.
As we look at the topic of submission this week, and find this in verses 2 and 3 of
Hymn 462 – Blessed Assurance. We may do this to the “Head of the Church” (Sunday) with this being summarized in
Hymn 348 – The Church Has One Foundation.
Monday gives us a reminder of the bridegroom of the church being Jesus:
Hymn 374 – Jesus With Thy Church Abide and
Hymn 346 – Lord, Who Dost Give To Thy Church. With the bridegroom coming to claim the church as His bride, we sing this in
Hymn 211 – Lo He Comes (Tuesday).
The love shown in Wednesday is found in
Hymn 354 – Thy Love, O God,
Hymn 349 – God Is Love and further down in the study
Hymn 191 – Love Divine and
Hymn 162 – Wondrous Love.
With the marriage supper completed on Thursday, joy bubbles over and gives us
Happy The Home – Hymn 655 and
Happy The Home That Welcomes You – Hymn 651.
So, dear people, be encouraged to go forward and
“Lift up the trumpet and loud let it ring, Jesus IS coming again” – Hymn 213.
