1. Have a volunteer read Acts 2: 1-3.

1. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
2. What elements accompanied the outpouring of the Spirit?
3. Personal Application: What evidence do you have of the Holy Spirit working in your life? Share your thoughts.
4. Case Study: One of your relatives states: “Do you think this one-time event could be repeated today as another one-time event, or on a daily basis to individuals? Why or why not?” How would you respond to your relative?

2. Have a volunteer read Acts 2: 5-13.

1. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
2. What evidence is here that the apostles were speaking in existing foreign languages?
3. Personal Application: Do you know anyone who has experienced the manifestation of tongues in their life to share the gospel? Share your thoughts.
4. Case Study: One of your friends states, “If these were real languages that people understood, why did some say they were drunken?.” How would you reply to your friend?

3. Have a volunteer read Acts 2: 28-32.

2. What is it important to know that Jesus rose from the dead?
3. Personal Application: What do you think is more important: Jesus death for our sins, or His resurrection from the dead? Share your thoughts
4. Case Study: One of your neighbors states, “I am an existentialist. We live, we die. That’s it. All the superstition about ghosts and spirits living in a nether world is foolishness. There is no hope for the future, only in living our lives today.” How would you respond to your neighbor?

4. Have a volunteer read Acts 2:33-38.

1. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
2. Is it necessary for a person that believes in Jesus to be baptized? Why or why not?
3. Personal Application: What is the purpose of the Holy Spirit? Why was He poured out at the same time Jesus was being exalted in heaven? Share your thoughts.
4. Case Study: Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.
