- Case Study: One of your friends states, “What is evil? I mean each society has its standard or definition of what is acceptable or not acceptable behavior. Are there shades of what is evil and what is not, like the mortal and venial sins? Most everyone fibs at times, but is that evil? Most people have sex before marriage and many live together outside of marriage. Is that evil? Not many people worship God on the seventh-day Sabbath. Is that really evil for sincere Christians to observe another day or no day?” How would you respond to your friend?
