Thank you once again Eric & guest Doug 🙂
I offer this alternative explanation to the interaction between King Jesus and the lawyer (Luke 10:25-37 KJV):
The soul of the lawyer with the hardened heart was not the prize that King Jesus sought. King Jesus instead used this interaction with the lawyer to teach those in His presence at that time (and teach us through The Holy Bible's record of this event).
My key take-out:
"Love in action that opens the door and gives permission to share.", Doug.
Some good fun:
"The zucchini bomb", Doug 🤣
"We pastors, or 'those who are paid to be holy', as one of my college students said to me, ...", Doug 🤣
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.", King Jesus in Matthew 4:4 KJV.
As an aside: The guest speaker's surname Venn got me thinking about the Venn diagram (I am a maths tutor) & how the intersection of the circles represents the things we have in common with others. When sharing King Jesus with anyone, always start with the thing we have in common with the other person.
Maurice Ashton shared this with me: "Christian dogma does not work. Shared experiences are the basis for the working of the Holy Spirit."
