  1. I appreciate your lessons very much! God bless you!
I graduated from Walla Walla University in 1965 with a major in Biblical languages and a minor in religion.A group of my brothers and sisters in our church in Medford get together and we are going through the New Testament,I translate from the ancient Biblical Greek manuscripts and we compare my translation with the different Bible translations in English. Being a native Greek who lived in Athens the first 21 years of my life, and having studied Classical, Biblical and Modern Greek, I am able to help the group with the help of the Holy Spirit, to understand the New Testament a littl better.

    • Oh how fortunate the brothers and sisters in the Medford church are to have you Aliki. They are so blessed by God. I’m so envious 🙂

May He shower you all with His choicest blessings.

  2. Whereas Paul asks us to merely imitate God (Ephesians 5:1 & timestamp 7m20s), King Jesus Christ asks us to “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48).

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
