Wednesday: Gospel, Judgment, Creation

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 9, 2023 by Sabbath School LessonApril 28, 2023avatar
Jesus Holding Black Lamb

Look at the first angel’s message. Everlasting gospel. Hour of judgment. Worship the Creator. Look at how closely related these ideas are. When we stand before our Creator in judgment, it’s only the gospel that gives us any hope at all. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do … Continue reading –>

Christ the Conloser

The God of Creation, who brought the sun, moon, and stars into existence, whose awesome power created this planet and filled it with living things, is also a God who is interested in each one of us. He is the God who delivered His people from Egyptian bondage, who guided them in their wilderness wanderings, … Continue reading –>

Monday: Worship the Creator

Jesus Looking Over Earth

Read Revelation 14:7. How does the message of the first angel conclude? What final appeal does this judgment hour message make? (See also Isaiah 40:26, John 1:1-3, and Romans 1:20.) Revelation 14:7 ends with a clarion call to worship the Creator; this call is especially important now, when most of the scientific and even the Christian world have accepted evolution, a … Continue reading –>

7: Worshiping the Creator – Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 7, 2023 by Corinne KnopperMay 7, 2023avatar

“Three Cosmic Messages” encourages us to  Watch, Ye Saints – Hymn 598 as we near the end of this old world’s history to witness the Second Coming of our Lord, and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This is a wonderful hymn to give courage, dear people, and is our theme for this quarter.  We will be noting at … Continue reading –>

7: Worshiping the Creator – Teaching Plan

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 7, 2023 by Michael FrackerMay 7, 2023Michael Fracker

Key Thought : Worship has to do with the very nature and purpose of our existence. Not to worship God is to lose our reason for existence. May 13, 2023 1. Have a volunteer read Revelation 1:9, Matthew 13:21, Acts 14:22. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point … Continue reading –>

Patriarch Worshiping at Sunrise

After His ascension to heaven (Acts 1:9), Jesus visited the last of the living apostles, John, on the island of Patmos, where John had been exiled by the ruthless Roman emperor Domitian. Read Revelation 1:9. See also Matthew 13:21, Acts 14:22, and John 16:33. What’s the message here for all who seek to follow Jesus in this world? Separated from … Continue reading –>

Friday: Further Thought ~ The Hour of His Judgment

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 4, 2023 by Sabbath School LessonApril 19, 2023avatar
Spectacles on Bible

Further Thought:  Here’s a quick and easy way to look at the 70-week prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27. First, the 70 weeks (Daniel 9:24).   Next, the seven weeks and 62 weeks, or 69 weeks (Daniel 9:25) of the 70 weeks. There’s the last week, the seventieth (Daniel 9:27). And, finally, that last week is divided — “in the middle of … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
