10: Rules of Engagement — Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on March 1, 2025 by Corinne KnopperMarch 1, 2025avatar

The studies in this quarter’s pamphlet encourage us to see God’s Love and Justice, just as we may sing in Hymn 79 – O Love of God, How Strong and True! which is a beautiful theme hymn for our studies. Rather than the fake gods that we read a lot about this week while studying, it … Continue reading –>

The Angel Appears to Daniel During Prayer

Daily Lesson for Sunday 2nd of March 2025 As we have seen, the false “gods” of the nations were demons in disguise. And elsewhere we see evidence that demonic celestial rulers are sometimes behind earthly rulers. Even angelic agents sent by God can be opposed by the forces of the enemy. Read Daniel 10:1-14, with … Continue reading –>

The Fallen Angels

Daily Lesson for Thursday 27th of February 2025 We have seen some passages that teach a cosmic conflict between God and Satan. But how is such a conflict even possible? How could anyone oppose the omnipotent God? If the cosmic conflict were over sheer power, it would have been over before it started. It must … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
