Esther Helps her People

Daily Lesson for Thursday 12th of June 2025 There is an unfortunate tendency among some Christians to dwell on the hard things of Bible prophecy. We see that trying times lie ahead, and the study of prophecy can become fear-based, focusing on hardship instead of the promised resolution to the story. While God does not … Continue reading –>

The Ten Commandments with the Fourth Highlighted

Daily Lesson for Wednesday 11th of June 2025 In the story of Esther, we meet Haman, who is hungry for position and power. He is given a great degree of prominence in the empire, above all the other princes (Esther 3:1). Boaz at the City Gate

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 10th of June 2025 Boaz falls deeply in love with Ruth and wishes to marry her, but there is a significant barrier: there is a closer relative who also has a claim on the woman and the land. Sabbath School Net Posted on June 8, 2025 by Corinne KnopperJune 8, 2025avatar

To learn of the “Allusions, Images and Symbols” in Bible Prophecy we are really in great need of saying to God  Give Me The Bible – Hymn 272 so we are able to learn with His abundant help. This will be our theme for this, the second quarter of Bible Study, 2025. Sabbath afternoon encourages us … Continue reading –>

Ruth and Boaz

Daily Lesson for Monday 9th of June 2025 Naomi asked that her name be changed to Mara because of the bitterness that had fallen over her life (see Ruth 1:20). Sunday: Famine in “The House of Bread”

Sabbath School Net Posted on June 7, 2025 by Sabbath School LessonApril 10, 2025avatar
Family Traveling

Daily Lesson for Sunday 8th of June 2025 Critics of the Christian faith have often pointed to the brutal reality of living in this world as evidence that: (a) God does not exist, (b) He is powerless to intervene when bad things happen, or (c) He doesn’t care when we hurt. Many of the stories … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
