Sabbath: Creation and the Gospel
Read for This week’s Study: Gen. 3:21; Ps. 104:29, 30; John 1:4; Rom. 5:6-11;Gal. 3:13; Matt. 27:46.
Memory Text: “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22, NIV).
In the biblical account, Adam and Eve were created in God’s image, without any moral defect. But they did have free will, a prerequisite for them to be able to love. When Adam and Eve rebelled against God, they fell under Satan’s power (see Heb. 2:14), an act that brought the whole world under the enemy’s power, as well.Jesus, though, came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8) and free us from his power. He did this by dying in our place and offering us life. On the cross, Jesus became sin for us (2 Cor. 5:21) and experienced the separation from His Father that sin causes. By His death, Jesus restored the relationship between God and humanity that had been broken by the sin of Adam and Eve.
All these points are logically linked to the Creation story. Creation comes into the picture again as the power of the Creator God is exercised to create a new heart in His children (2 Cor. 5:17), renewing the image of God within us and restoring our relationship with Him.

please as regards Sundays lesson.' Creation and the Seventh day saabbath' , What did Ellen G White mean by '... Faith must rest upon evidence'..when Hebrews 11:1 is of a diffrent opinion
Chibueze, first let us look at the entire paragraph that statement comes from:
I believe Ellen White was simply reiterating what the Bible says concerning the basis of our belief. "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead" (Rom. 1:20 NKJV). Unlike the Jews who demanded a physical sign (which they ignored anyway) our religion is a faith based one that does not depend on physical demonstration but on evidence from various sources.
Concerning what Hebrews says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11:1 NKJV). Do you refuse to believe that air exists because you can't see it? On what basis do you believe what you do about the existence of air? To me it is the same kind of analogy that Jesus used with Nicodemus when speaking of the Holy Spirit which we can't see either, "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit" (Jn. 3:8 NKJV).
We cannot prove the many things we believe but we have a lot of evidence from many sources concerning them. Why do we believe in Heaven? Has anyone seen it? What proof do we have that Jesus existed 2000 years ago? You see we have circumstantial, historical and literary evidence about what we do not now see even though we can't absolutely prove those things. The same goes for electrons in atomic theory, we can't see them but there is a lot of evidence that they actually exist. That is our life here in a confined environment; a life that is based on faith and expectation. That is the reason why we wait at bus stops for a bus we can't see and why we plant seeds in the ground hoping for an abundant harvest when we don't know what the future holds. We do those things because of past experience which is the evidence we have that what we expect is actually going to happen.
To the writer of Hebrews that is what drove and supported all the righteous people in the past - the promises of something better which they could not literally see.

HAPPY SABBATH ALL. I am grateful for the sabbath. I appreciate most of all that Jesus my Lord, is Lord of the sabbath!!. Amen
Happy Sabbath
Fly me away Lord,
on your wings,
carry my load Lord,
your praises I will sing.
When I am down Lord,
pick me up,
stand me firm Lord,
on your rock,
waves may crash and try to shake me,
but my roots are in-bedded in thee.
Tears may fall,
like a river that runs free,
but your hands
will tend to me.
Brush away my worries and fears,
keep me standing all these long years,
in your Love I will ever more be,
standing tall and worshiping thee.
God's love for mankind will never die out, considering wronging Him by way of our disobedience to Him, and Him taking our place to suffer a bloody condition we should have suffered.
God indeed is love, and loving. How, I pray that we would realize all that love, and live truly the way God needs us to. Amen!
Sonia Martin! Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful poem about a personal relationship with Jesus!! Beautiful words and experience!! Praise the Lord!
