Wednesday: Creation in the Prophets — 12 Comments

  1. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be in a world specially created and designed just for us by our Heavenly father. He took such care in making sure that everything was perfect for humankind thus demonstrating his immense love for us. He is the Creator and the Prophet Isaiah as with Job and Psalms reiterates and confirms the Genesis account of Creation. Everything happens according to his will. Our minds and understanding are very limited and there are certain questions that only God can answer himself. All we have to is put our trust in him.

    • You are so right, Mary! Our minds are limited, but that doesn't mean that God is! He works way above and beyond what we can understand to keep us, our world and the universe going! I'm so glad for the care He shows, and that I can trust Him!

  2. Right from our parents in Eden down to the patriarchs and now in today"s lesson the prophets,we see this foundational Bibilical theme-THE CREATION. It is the 1st act of love from our creator as far as human kind and the rest of creation is concerned. In it depends the Great Plan of Redeption. The blessed hope of Christ 2nd coming to culminate the plan of Redeption is deeply connected to what happened in Gen 1:1 "IN THE BEGINING GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH. God is love 1 Jn 4:8.

  3. This world was created so perfect that humans can survive! If it was too hot, the world would burn up! If it was too cold, the world would freeze to ice! Be thankful for this world. If God didn't make this world or humans, would we be alive? NO! Take care of this earth, and everything in it. I want to take care of God's world, and you should too! Stop hurting God's earth! Please!

  4. And God is still creating within us . . .our hearts, our minds, our emotions. . . And what a challenge that must be since we have free will. What an awesome God!

    • Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a clean heart, O God..."
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
The most important question I can ask is this, "Has God recreated me?"

  6. Today's discussion makes me wonder how life will be sustained when we are transported from earth to heaven, when Christ comes to take us home to heaven. I have two theories. 1. Our bodies when they are miraculously transformed into immortality in the twinkling of an eye, will be miraculously able to accommodate the absence of an atmospheric pressure and lack of correct air mixture to sustain life. 2. We will have a miraculous bubble around us with life sustaining atmosphere to transport us to heaven. All these miracles that will happen if we are found living in Christ or have died in Christ to be resurrected when He comes to take us home, sound much like the miracles of a six day creation week plus the creation of Sabbath giving us a seven day week.

  7. Neema, God set aside the Sabbath as the seventh day thus creating the seventh day for a rest for Him from His creation, as a memorial of His creation, and a perpetual day of rest for man. Creating a Seventh day Sabbath is like walking to church on Sabbath, it's not work.
