Inside Story: Nothing But Faith – Part 2
The next morning John went to a campus prayer service. Sister Jeremiah was leading out, and she asked for volunteers to pray for all the students. John prayed for the students who had needs, and silently he prayed for his own need.
A couple hours later he met a friend on campus. How are you? Is everything OK? his friend asked him.
Yes, John said, everything is OK. God is in control.
How’s your mom? the friend asked.
She’s fine, John answered. Then without thinking, he added, But she’s worried about my school fees.
How much do you need? he asked.
John needed 50,000 Zimbabwean dollars to register.
His friend pulled out some pula, currency from Botswana. Here is 250 pula, his friend said. The money was equivalent to 23,000 Zimbabwean dollars. John thanked his friend warmly and accepted the money. OK, God, he thought. Now how do I turn this pula into enough Zimbabwean dollars to register?
Within minutes John found someone willing to exchange his pula for Zimbabwean dollars-at a rate that gave him half the amount he needed to register. John hurried to a phone to tell his mother that God had worked half a miracle.
Mom, he said, can you please send Mercy [John’s sister] to the bank to deposit 25,000 [Zimbabwean] dollars?
John, she answered, you know I don’t have the money.
Just send Mercy to town, John said. God will provide the money. His mother was puzzled, but she didn’t argue. If John had that kind of faith, she dared not doubt. So she asked Mercy to go to town and wait for God to give her the money for John.
Meanwhile John went to town to deposit the $25,000 he had received into Solusi’s bank account. When he arrived in town, he called his mother again.
I’ve been trying to reach you! she said. Mercy met a friend of yours in town who had promised to give you some money for food. But you had already left for school. So he asked Mercy to deposit it into your account. When Mercy told him how much you needed, it was more than he had planned to give, but when he opened his wallet, he had more than $25,000. So he gave Mercy the money for you. We just need to know Solusi’s account number so we can deposit it!
John’s eyes filled with tears as he heard how God was answering his prayers. He gave his mother the information and thanked her and his sister for helping make the miracle happen.
Hurrying back to school, John arrived just minutes before the registrar’s office closed. His heart felt light, and his step was easy as he thought of how God had pulled off another miracle for a young man with nothing but faith.
More than 1,000 students are enrolled at Solusi University. Many, like John, are there by faith. The school is growing larger, and more space in the dining hall is needed. Thank you for supporting the Thirteenth Sabbath Mission offering.

What faith! Father, please give me such faith. In Jesus' Name, amen.
we serve a living God who never fails. Our God is God of surprises and wonders. About three weeks ago, I forgot to switch my cooker off. We left home around 7pm for midweek prayers. Around about 9:30pm, I had the thought of the food I was cooking. I asked my kids. Did any of you switched the cooker off or took the pan off? "No,no,no" replied the kids. I prayer as I was driving. Dear Lord, you've done it for us before so please help us today too. When we arrived home, I told the kids to wait in the car for me to go inn first to chech how bad the smoke is, just in case. " I thought you just prayed" said my son. They all followed me into the house. On our arrival, I went straight to the kitchen, just to found out that, the cooker is on, pan is on but no heat on the cooker. The food very still and the cooker cold. I put my hand on the cooker and ask my kids too to place their hands on the cooker. Cooker was turned into frozen cold. I switched the cooker off, took the pan off, singing, shouting, praising the Lord with the kids. Our father in heaven is awesome God who works mysteriously. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!.
God always does wonderful things in our lives through faith.
This is the reason why we should be faithful in paying our 13th Sabbath offering for students with faith like this.
It wasn't until recently that I learnt about the power of prayer. I have experienced God's faithfulness in my life and I have every reason to thank Him. I have learnt to involve Him in every aspect of my life, big or small, and He has never failed me. May His holy name be praised forever and ever. He is always with me. This thought gives me strength to go on. I pray that He may help me to live my life according to His will. We should all love Him with all our heart because He deserves our love and He loved us first.
God is so faithful, He is the great IAM. When I read the inside story "Nothing but faith" it brought tears of joy to my eyes, reason being that I did that same thing,I told my family am going back to school, I will find the school fees there. So went to school without school fees, being late with one month, just one week in class they started sending students home to get balances and was one of them. I had to go to bed at 5:00pm, cried non stop because there was no way I will get fees at home, plus I had no transport to go home, so I prayed "God if you want me to go home be so, but that will be the end of my education because you know there is no money at home. I don't want to go,but if God you want me to, I will. In Jesus name. Amen.
Came morning couldn't attend assembly, stayed at the hostel, then after an hour or so that classes have started, went to get permission to go home. When I got into the Principal's office, when he saw me,he said oh Newa (my father'sname), he stopped doing whatever he was doing, wrote something on a paper and gave it to me. When I got outside, I laughed when I read this" allow her to attend classes and provide her with food at the boarding till fees comes" then it was as if someone said "thought you prayed last night "
That term ended, my name never appeared on the list of students with balances. May God help us to believe Him always. When term closed, went home, had to pay fees the following year.
Lord increase my faith, for yoy are so faithful. Amen
God praise be to you. You are so faithful in my life. Help me to be faithful to you
I have always seen His powerful hand when I take all to Him in prayer. His promises are true.He is my father and I always pray that I live always as His daughter.
Father forgive me lord if im also doing the same and father God make me repent
I have seen and experienced the power of GOD
May God continue helping you.
