Sabbath: Jesus Bade Them, “Follow Me” — 6 Comments

  1. Let’s no forget that it was the Holy Spirit working thru the disciples that converted the souls of Jews and Gentiles.

    Amen

  2. The statement of Julian speaks to what I am trying to say. I think our focus is skewed to harvesting at the expense of sowing.

  3. As christans let us pave way to the won Sauls, unlike the case of zaccheus who was forced to climb a tree in order to see Christ. As they come to church lets give them a warm welcome to make them feel at home, that is how we can keep our churches full.

  4. It’s every Christian’s responsibility to bade people in the communities to follow Jesus. We need to be humble, generous, kind in order to represent Christ to people so that they can recognize God’s love as we tell them about the Gospel. By doing so they will hear God’s voice calling them. John 10:16 means that there are Christians who are worshiping outside God’s but unfortunately they are not aware about that, we have to make them realize that they are in danger and convince them biblically to come into God’s house and worship God nod gods.

  5. There are many people who have been marginalized by the world in various spheres of this life, It is our obligation as Christians to embrace and show them that Jesus loves and values them regardless the afflictions they are going through, this may be a good way of winning the souls for Christ our Saviour..

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
