Singing with Inspiration – Lesson 4
The Memory Text for this week stirred my heart with the first hymn-singing thoughts for this week; Hymn 191, “Love Divine all loves excelling”.
1 Peter 2:18 in Monday’s lesson and Romans 13:4 on Wednesday’s lesson suggested Hymn 256 “Ye Servants of God”.
In Tuesday’s lesson study, our family foundation of the husband and wife glowed with Hymn 655, “Happy the Home when God is there”.
Peter then goes on to urge purity, hence Hymn 27, “Rejoice Ye Pure in Heart”.
In Acts 5:29 we are told “we must obey God rather than human beings!” (NIV). This thought is reflected in Hymn 590, “Trust and Obey”
Thursday’s lesson also challenges us further in Matthew 22:39 “Love your neighbour as yourself” thus offering us happiness which leads us to the last hymn thought for this week, Hymn 597, “’Tis Love That Makes Us Happy”.
