1. Have a volunteer read Acts 17:11-14.

2. What significance do we see with Paul’s action here?
3. Personal Application: Are you willing to do things that we might not see as necessary or that we disagree with that may serve a greater cause? Share your thoughts.
4. Case Study: One of your relatives states: “Are we to expect that when we study the Bible and receive the truths and apply them in our lives, we can expect dissension, division, and trouble?” How would you respond to your relative?

2. Have a volunteer read Acts 16:25-34.

2. What did the jailer need to do to be saved?
3. Personal Application: How can we feel close to God in difficult situations? Share your thoughts.
4. Case Study: One of your friends states, “Why was the jailer going to kill himself, and why did Paul tell him not to do it? Why didn’t they flee when the earthquake opened the prison doors?” How would you reply to your friend?

2. What truths about God are evident in Paul’s speech?
3. Personal Application: What was unique about Paul’s method of reaching the pagans? What does this teach us about different methods in reaching different people? Share your thoughts
4. Case Study: One of your neighbors states, “I know the felling of God being close to each one of us, but not being able to find Him. How can we be assured that God is with us? How do we seek God so that we will be right with Him?” How would you respond to your neighbor?

4. Have a volunteer read Acts 18:4-11.

2. Why does the Bible say they opposed themselves instead of that they opposed Paul
3. Personal Application: Have you ever felt encouraged that you were doing the right thing despite opposition? Share your thoughts.
4. Case Study: Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.
