  1. Thank-you for this right up. I have read your blog last two weeks and found them most useful and full of real thought. I love the cs Lewis quote you found a real picture of imagery.

  2. I loved this!
What a wonderful and accurate portrayal of society's view of God and His (relative) signifacance (or lack of) in our world and lives.
It caused me to ponder my own views of our Creator and Friend Jesus, reminding me yet again of His limitless love and interest in even me.
    Thank you.

  3. My God is A God of Awe But Jesus said He is A GOD of love also and as the Father Love Him He love us and call us His friends if we Love one another. And this Is His commandment, that we Love one another, not in words but in deeds. I really hate it when people try to get you to do things out of Fear .

    • You are so right! Doing anything because you're afraid not to is doing it for the wrong reason. What I see as a problem though is when we forget that God is God and we're not, when we don't feel the specialness of our relationship with Him. It's not about being afraid of God but keeping our relationship with Him holy and set apart so that we don't begin to take Him and what He's done for us for granted.
      Thanks for your thoughts.

  4. Hi,
I once interviewed a friend who prays five(5) times a day(Not Adventist) and asked him the reason for doing that. He started by giving me an academic answer but later admited that it was fear of hell. Whatever drives one to God or to be religious amazes- human beings. Anyhow, whatever the reason, if it takes one to the feet of Jesus, its great! Its safer there than any theory can offer.
