Sabbath School Net Posted on December 10, 2018 by Corinne KnopperDecember 10, 2018avatar

Sunday’s study opens a plethora of hymns to worship our Lord: Hymn 6, “O Worship the Lord”, (Ps 29:2) Hymn 73 “Holy, Holy, Holy”, (Rev 4:8) Hymn 246, “Worthy, Worthy Is the Lamb (Rev 5:12), naming just three. 11 Unity in Worship – Discussion Starters

Sabbath School Net Posted on December 10, 2018 by Joyce GriffithDecember 10, 2018Joyce Griffith

Unity in Worship. The Day of Pentecost had a tremendous effect on early members of the Christian church. Why do you think they were so eager to spend time together? What do you think they talked about? How do conversation and a spirit of thankfulness build a group of believers into “a spiritual house,” and a “holy priesthood”? … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on December 4, 2018 by Joyce GriffithDecember 4, 2018Joyce Griffith

Strained relationships. Have you ever found yourself struggling with a strained relationship? Not getting along, with someone or several people you used to like but now it seems they just don’t seem to want to be your friend anymore? After you were converted to a life of friendship with God, did you sometimes find that … Continue reading –>

9: The Most Convincing Proof – Discussion Starters

Sabbath School Net Posted on November 26, 2018 by Joyce GriffithNovember 26, 2018Joyce Griffith

The church is a witness. If you’ve ever gone through a dispute or disagreement in your church, you know how despairing it can be. Do you think it’s possible to worship God in peace without disputing viewpoints we “know” are wrong? How did the early church deal with differences? What does God want us to do … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
