Introduction. “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” James 1:12. What does our love for God have to do with victory over temptation? Will we be tempted even if we love God supremely? Will we be lost if we do not withstand all of the trials of being tempted?

Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself. Genesis 18:11-12

Sarah had just overheard Abraham being told again that his wife would bear him a son. It was humanly impossible for Abraham and Sarah to have a child. Although firm believers in God, this promise was more than they could take in.

Introduction…After surgery and 74 days in rehab for a broken hip joint, I’m back and headed for full recovery! Then I made contact with my hip joint and the ceramic tile flooring and lay sprawled on the floor for a very long time […]

I have thought a lot about James over the last week. The discussions about his identity have been interesting. The evidence seems to support the view that James was actually a brother of Jesus, although no one can say with 100% certainty that he was.

As a leader of the early church, James distinguished himself as a man of wisdom. There’s ample proof that he was highly thought of.

Now Peter continued knocking; and when they […]

Former Muslim religion teacher, now a deacon in the Cornerstone Seventh-day Adventist church, Abbas believes that all Adventists are Muslims, because being a Muslim means being “submitted to God.” And when you are Muslim and learn of the Seventh-day Adventist faith, you have no choice except to become an Adventist.

In this interview of Abbas by Wayne Culmore, our beloved British Columbia Conference president, please look for ways to understand the Muslim mind better. Since Abbas was a religious teacher in […]
