2: The Burning Bush – Singing with Inspiration
Exodus points us to a wonderful conclusion with the Israelites being bound for the Promised Land, hence our theme hymn for the quarter being
We Are Bound For The Promised Land – Hymn 620.
Sabbath afternoon opens immediately with “God’s call” just as we find that
Jesus Calls Us – Hymn 285. The question then arises “Would he (Moses) answer the call?”
So Send I You – Hymn 578. “God’s call in our lives, and doing what He leads us to do” resounds in
He Leadeth Me – Hymn 537.
“The Lord introduced Himself to Moses as ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’ “. I wonder if at times Moses would have sung
The God Of Abraham Praise – Hymn 11 if this hymn had been written way back then?
Monday we discover that if the people had only had trust in God, things would have been so much better for them:
Trust And Obey – Hymn 590. Are we trusting God today with His wonderful leading?
We have more education on Tuesday about the amazing names that our human language calls God. We are able to sing this in
Holy God, We Praise Your Name – Hymn 30.
Further into our study on Moses (Thursday) we see “He had to be a model of that total surrender to God”:
Hymn 309 – All To Jesus (God) I Surrender.
Friday closes the study in Question 2, again pointing us to
Trust And Obey – Hymn 590.
Please continue to search the scriptures this week to be blessed, and to bless others.
To learn unknown hymns, you will find the accompaniment music for each one at: https://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/
Another great resource is for when there is a hymn you wish to sing but can’t find it in your hymnal. Go to https://www.sdahymnal.org/Search and in the search bar type a special word in that is in the hymn. I am sure you will be amazed at the help you will be given.
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
