Key Thought: The Holy Spirit reveals to us the living Christ in our lives in all His beauty and glory.
1. Have a volunteer read John 14:16-18.

a. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
b. How is the Holy Spirit “another Comforter” that Jesus said the Father will send to us?
c. Personal Application : How important is it that we know the Holy Spirit is a person and not just the force of God? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your relatives states: “How can we know that the Holy Spirit is dwelling in us rather than working on us from outside? Is it a feeling? A promise? Or something else?” How would you respond to your relatives?
2. Have a volunteer read Ephesians 4:30.
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
b. How is it possible to grieve the Holy Spirit?
c. Personal Application : Do you think you have ever grieved the Holy Spirit by ignoring God’s word in obedience, or by doing or saying something inappropriate? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your friends states, “How does the Holy Spirit seal us until the day of redemption? Does He put a mark on us?” How would you respond to your friend?
3. Have a volunteer read John 15:26; 16:13.
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. How does the Holy Spirit show us things to come? Dreams, visions, prophets, prophecies of the Bible?
c. Personal Application: What have you found is the best way to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? Do we need to prepare ourselves in some way? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your neighbors states, “If the Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus and does not speak of Himself, how could the Holy Spirit be just the force of God and not a separate person?” How would you respond to your neighbor?
4. Have a volunteer read Romans 5:5.
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. How has the Spirit used you to reveal God’s love to others?
c. Personal Application : How can the Holy Spirit use us in our lives to do God’s will? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.
