08: Ministering Like Jesus – Singing with Inspiration
The title for the quarters lesson pamphlet immediately brings to mind
Hymn 499 – What A Friend We Have in Jesus.
Our Memory Text shows Jesus care for each person who needs a Shepherd:
Hymn 104 – My Shepherd Will Supply My Need,
Hymn 192 – O Shepherd Divine,
Hymn 197 – The King of Love My Shepherd Is,
Hymn 361 – Hark! ‘Tis the Shepherd’s Voice I Hear and
Hymn 545 – Savior, Like a Shepherd.
Salt, Jesus first illustration, shows the true wealth of the world in committed Christians (Sunday):
Hymn 634 – Come All Christians Be Committed. Light is Jesus’ second illustration:
Hymn 41 – O Splendor of God’s Glory Bright,
Hymn 110 – God’s Free Mercy Streameth,
Hymn 234 – Christ Is the World’s Light,
Hymn 268, – Holy Spirit, Light Divine and
Hymn 275 – O Word of God Incarnate.
Luke 4:22 (Monday) gives us
Hymn 286 – Wonderful Words of Life. Our words are to be “encouraging and filled with grace” just as Jesus did in verse 2 of
Hymn 272 – Give Me the Bible.
Jesus knew and understood all the needs of people so that He was able to minister to all:
Hymn 104 – My Shepherd Will Supply My Need. Tuesday’s study reminds us that human beings know their need of God:
Hymn 483 – I Need Thee Every Hour,
Hymn 484 – I Need Thee, Precious Jesus and
Hymn 512 – Just When I Need Him Most. We are then able to ask
Savior, Teach Me – Hymn 193 (Wednesday).

Hymn 202 – Hail Him the King of Glory,
Hymn 212 – ‘Tis Almost Time for the Lord to Come,

Hymn 113 – As Pants the Hart,
Hymn 239 – Jesus, Priceless Treasure,

Hymn 460 – As Water to the Thirsty,

For You I Am Praying – Hymn 284 because
The Savior Is Waiting– Hymn 289 is exactly what we are able to tell each person with whom we come in contact each day.
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
