“We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history.”—Ellen G. White, Life Sketches, p. 196. Long before Sabbath School Net, my blogsite, and Facebook, I loved to write. When I was a teenager, Earl Hamner inspired me … Continue reading –>

Men Building the Memorial

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 14th of October 2025 Read Joshua 4:1-24. Why did God ask the Israelites to build a memorial? Sabbath School Net Posted on October 12, 2025 by Michael FrackerOctober 13, 2025Michael Fracker

Key Thought: We need to keep the heart and mind in training by remembering the lessons God taught Israel. Modern Israel is in greater danger of forgetting God and falling into idolatry than were ancient Israelis. October 18, 2025 1. Have a volunteer read Joshua 3:1-5. Ask class members to share a short thought on … Continue reading –>

Crossing the Jordan

Daily Lesson for Monday 13th of October 2025 Read Joshua 3:6-17. What does the miraculous crossing of the Jordan tell us about the nature of the God whom we serve? At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
