02: Winsome Witnesses – Teaching Plan
Key Thought: There is unusual power in personal testimony. It is one thing to share what Jesus has done for someone else. It is quite another to share what He has done for us personally.

1. Have a volunteer read Mark 5:15-20.
- Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
- Why do you think Jesus sent the man into the city rather than keeping him with Himself to nurture him in his new faith?
- Personal Application: What do you tell others about how you came to the faith? What is your conversion story? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your relatives states: “Have the testimonies of others impacted you and your own experience in any way?” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Acts 4:13-20.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
- What happened when the authorities tried to silence Peter and John?
- Personal Application: Why is knowing Christ personally so essential to our being able to witness about Him? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your friends states, “What difference has Christ made in your life? How different would you be if not converted?” How would you respond to your friend?
3. Have a volunteer read Acts 26:19-23.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
- What can we learn from Paul’s words here in witnessing?
- Personal Application: At what point in your life did you meet Christ? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your neighbors states, “Have you ever been persecuted for presenting the truths of God’s word?” How would you respond to your neighbour?
4. Have a volunteer read I John 1:1-3.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
- How is John’s experience similar to Paul’s?
- Personal Application: Why is it important to have a relationship with the Lord day by day? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them
