1. Have a volunteer read Revelation 19:6-9.
- Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
- Who is this hours of many waters like a great multitude?
- Personal Application: How are the saints dressed in white that is their righteousness? I thought no-one was righteous? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your relatives states: “Why is the church referred to as a bride and the reunion as a marriage and wedding reception?” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Revelation 20:1-6.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
- What is the bottomless pit and how is the devil bound in it for a thousand years?
- Personal Application: How do the saints reign with Christ for a thousand years? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your friends states, “I thought there would be a rapture or first resurrection before the antichrist showed up and ruled for seven years before the second resurrection. Why don’t you accept the rapture theory?” How would you respond to your friend?
3. Have a volunteer read Revelation 21:2-8.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
- How is the new earth comparable to the Garden of Eden?
- Personal Application: What does it mean that there will be no more sea? Are large bodies of water not going to exist on the earth anymore? Share your thoughts
- Case Study: One of your neighbors states, “What does it mean that there will be a new earth and a new heaven? Is God going to change everything around? How would it be different?” How would you reply to your neighbor?
4. Have a volunteer read Revelation 21:10-14.
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
- Since all twelve gates have the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, how are the saints going to enter the gates?
- Personal Application: Why is the promise of the new heavens and the new earth so central to our hope in Christ? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.
