13: Love is the Fulfillment of the Law – Singing with Inspiration
The studies in this quarter’s pamphlet encourage us to see God’s Love and Justice, just as we may sing in
Hymn 79 – O Love of God, How Strong and True! which is a beautiful theme hymn for our studies.
This week closes our quarter of study on “God’s Love And Justice”. Sabbath afternoon’s introduction gives us a beautiful picture and assurance of the wonderful compassion that is part of love. We sing of this compassion and our God of love in
Hymn 100 – Great Is Thy Faithfulness. Our theme hymn presents itself many times throughout this week.
As we read through the Ten Commandments on Sunday, I find there are only two hymns that allude to the commandments:
Hymn 394 – Far From All Care (verse 3), and
Hymn 447 – Long Upon The Mountains (verse 2).
Our hearts are touched on Tuesday with the
Marvelous Grace – Hymn 109 that is given by our God, Who gives us the instructions for “the ultimate good of all His people”.
God’s abundant love is clearly presented to us throughout this week, with many hymns giving us a clear view of this abundant love. Here are just a few in our SDA Hymnal (to add to our Theme Hymn) in the section named “Love of God”:
Hymn 75 – The Wonder Of It All,
Hymn 76 – O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go,
Hymn 77 – O Love Of God Most Full,
Hymn 78 – For God So Loved Us, and then further along in the hymnal we find:
Hymn 148 – O Love How Deep, How Broad,
Hymn 162 – Wondrous Love, and
Hymn 179 – The Wonders of Redeeming Love.
Please continue to search the scriptures this week to be blessed, and to bless others.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
