13: Rebirth of Planet Earth – Singing with Inspiration
Time has moved along so quickly and here we are at the last week of the first quarter’s lesson studies for 2021.
As the Israelites forgot about God and followed so many other gods and nations, God remained faithful to them, with Isaiah and many other prophets working so hard for God to turn His people around, hence I will choose
Hymn 100 – Great Is Thy Faithfulness as a theme hymn for this quarter. Secondary to this we may use
Hymn 104 – My Shepherd Will Supply My Need.
Hymn 87 – God Who Spoke in the Beginning tells of what transpired back then, and this week we are told of what is to come for our
old earth – rebirth. Meantime,
God Is Working His Purpose Out – Hymn 225 for us to have a “New Heaven and a New Earth” (Sunday). “At His voice creation sprang at once to sight”
Hymn 232 – At the Name of Jesus ending in the
Crowning Jewel of Creation – Hymn 385, the Sabbath.
“God gives His people joy and peace and restores their land” (Isaiah 55:12, 13) sees the
New Songs of Celebration – Hymn 13 being sung. We see this in
Hymn 74 – Like a River Glorious is God’s perfect peace, the peace being the Divine “Magnet”.
On Tuesday we note that God will send out missionaries to teach people:
Hymn 373 – Seeking the Lost,
Hymn 367 – Rescue the Perishing,
Hymn 369 – Bringing in the Sheaves so that we do not ask the question
O Where Are the Reapers? – Hymn 366.
On Wednesday there is encouragement to have the
Faith of Our Fathers – Hymn 304.
With the glorious promise of a new heaven and new earth in Isaiah 66:22 we can truly sing with gusto
Hymn 633 – When We All Get to Heaven and
Hymn 425 – Holy, Holy, Is What the Angels Sing.
