4: The Key to Unity – Singing with Inspiration
Our unity comes as being a member of the body of Christ:
Hymn 570, “Not I, But Christ”.
We are reminded on Sunday that we are all family in Christ, and therefore:
“Heir of the Kingdom”, Hymn 594. “God prepared salvation before the foundation of the world” :
Hymn 646, “To the Name That Brings Salvation”.
Ephesians 4:1 on Tuesday gives us:
Hymn 590 “Trust and Obey”. This is followed by the reading of 1 Corinthians 13:1 -7, being the Bible chapter on love :
Hymn 191, “Love Divine”, Hymn 188,
“My Song Is Love Unknown”, and
Hymn 183, “I Will Sing of Jesus’ Love”. Tuesday closes with the question; “What are we doing to preserve unity in the bonds of peace?”:
Hymn 466, “Wonderful Peace”
The word “grace” appears several times in this week’s study:
Hymn 109, “Marvelous Grace” and
Hymn 108, “Amazing Grace”. “All Christians are, in a sense, ministers and servants of God and the gospel” – it says on Wednesday:
Hymn 256, “Ye Servants of God”.
Thursday closes out our singing with thoughts on the infilling of the Holy Spirit:
Hymn 268, “Holy Spirit, Light Divine”.
“Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”
1 Timothy 4:13 KJV
