5: The Nations Part 2 — Teaching Plan — 5 Comments

  1. The rebellion and disobedience of Lucifer, has continued the seed of rebellion in humanity leading to nations fighting against nations. Our only hope is the coming kingdom where God will be ruler an king forever.

  2. The four kingdoms depicted in the dream of the king and vision in Daniel and Revelation have been time tested. We are now standing at the threshold of the everlasting kingdom of the stone.

    • Peter, it is a teaching guide, not a catechism. The idea is that in a class you would discuss various answers to develop thought and understanding.

  3. Peter, this is a guide to help develop questions in a small group setting so people can discuss differing ideas and thoughts that apply to the lesson. It is an added resource to the Sabbath School Quarterly which does have comments and guiding statements from the authors and the Spirit of Prophecy to help us understand. This is an addition to the Quarterly, not a replacement. If something seems to be ambiguous I try to leave a note underneath, but even that is not the final word in discussion. Blessings.

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
