1. Have a volunteer read Genesis 6:5-14
- Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
- What changes came into Noah’s life as a result of obeying God?
- Personal Application: How ready are you to make a major change to your life for God if, like Noah, you were called to do that? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your relatives states, “The gifts of the Spirit died with the apostles. Nobody raises the dead anymore. Nobody really heals people on demand. Nobody expects prophets to predict anything outside what the Bible already predicted. God justs wants His people to lead good lives, worship, and help the poor.” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Genesis 13:10-12.

- What rational factors could have led Lot to make the decisions that he did?
- Personal Application: What makes Abraham and Noah a blessing to all? How did their lifestyle changes affect others? Share your thoughts.
- Case Study: One of your friends states, “Why did God tell Abraham that He had heard about Sodom and Gomorrah and had come to see for Himself? Didn’t God already know what was going on? Why did He tell Abraham that He was going to destroy them?” How would you respond to your friend?

- What happened here to Jacob and what can we learn from this story?
