Hymn 193 – Savior, Teach me and Hymn 266 – Spirit of God may be used as the theme hymns for education this quarter followed by Hymn 492 – Like Jesus.
Hymn 6 – O Worship the Lord uses the words of our Memory Text to commence our singing.
Our Sabbath afternoon reading encourages us to have a Christian education where we ask
Savior, Teach Me – Hymn 193.
As humans we all worship something, and we are blessed that we are able to sing
O Worship the King – Hymn 83 as per our learning in the Bible. Revelation 14:6-12 shows the outcome of our choice of whom we worship.
One of the joyous ways to praise our Lord is in singing (Monday). We have many hymns about singing, so here are just a few:
Hymn 19 – O Sing a New Song to the Lord,
Hymn 33 – Sing a New Song to the Lord,
Hymn 37 – O Sing, My Soul, Your Maker’s Praise,
Hymn 63 – O Come, Let Us Sing to the Lord,
Hymn 88 – I Sing the Mighty Power of God,
Hymn 167 – Alleluia! Sing to Jesus!,
Hymn 183 – I Will Sing of Jesus’ Love,
Hymn 228 – A Hymn of Glory Let Us Sing,
Hymn 250 – O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing, and
Hymn 353 – I Will Sing of My Redeemer.
We may then hear
Holy, Holy, Is What the Angels Sing – Hymn 425 as the angels join our praises.
John 4:7-26 is captured in
Hymn 493 – Fill My Cup, Lord. Further in Tuesday’s study time we learn that true worship must stem from the love of God –
Hymn 77 – O Love of God Most Full. Following this, our worship must be “in truth” –
Hymn 203 – This is the Three-Fold Truth.
Hymn 6 – O Worship the Lord appears again on Wednesday with Jesus and the plan of salvation in
Hymn 646 – To the Name That Brings Salvation. Israel was to be a holy nation. We need to
Take Time to Be Holy – Hymn 500 with our request being
Lord, Make Us More Holy – Hymn 69.
As with all education, we are to learn to
Trust and Obey – Hymn 590.
