Israelites Ambushed

Daily Lesson for Wednesday 5th of November 2025 Read Joshua 8:1-29. What does this story tell us about how God can transform our most abysmal failures into opportunities? The Danger of Cherishing Sin

Sabbath School Net Posted on November 4, 2025 by William EarnhardtNovember 10, 2025avatar
Achan hiding the loot

The story of Achan in this week’s Sabbath School lesson teaches us about the dangers of cherishing sin in our hearts. Fortunately, we have a Savior who is always quick to forgive, time and again, and even cleanse us, time and again. Whenever I see someone mopping a floor and a child tracks dirt on … Continue reading –>

Joshua Talking With Men

6: The Enemy Within — Teaching Plan

Sabbath School Net Posted on November 1, 2025 by Michael FrackerNovember 2, 2025Michael Fracker

Key Thought: Israel’s worst enemy was the stubbornness and disregard to the guidance and instructions of God to them. Success depended only on surrender to Christ and a willingness to follow His will. November 8, 2025 1. Have a volunteer read Joshua 7. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most … Continue reading –>

It is interesting to observe that the reader knows, from the outset, the reason for Yahweh’s anger as well as the name of the offender. Thus, the suspense of the … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
