Christ is my Anchor — 6 Comments

  1. Thank you for this powerful reminder William. The topic appealed to me: I am writing this at the end of my hourly devotion at 6:19am in East London South Africa. I mention this because, as i plan my day and week, the hours of 05:30 - 7am are labelled "Anchor"on my daily planner. This is a period that anchors the day with prayer and "daily reflection"on God's word key to the success of the day.

This post you shared today is the logical extension of this principle and I am glad to have read it. Continue to be blessed.

  2. Prayer to my Heavenly Father is first when I rise in the morning. I thank Him for all that He supplies as well as His presence in my life through out the day. I pray that that my choices and decisions are appropriate and acceptable, and His will be done. I thank Him for answers to my prayers, in Jesus name, Amen. Not a model prayer, just communication with a creator God.

  3. Great reminder William. I say I trust God but then last month when my new job got my pay all wrong, I was frantic. Zero pay for 2 consecutive months! How would I pay my mortgage? Learned that I was really trusting in the paycheck. Had to fight down the panic, repent and trust God. And of course He worked it all out. But I learned what my anchor really was and what it should be. Happy Sabbath.

  4. I believe you, William, when you say that God had your back when you got that flat tire. Even if your co-worker happened to see you and stop, what were the chances that his spare would even work on your car? Certainly, not all spare tires are interchangeable.

  5. Thank you for the story,” Christ is my Anchor”, very meaningful, as we tend to rely more on what others say, when God our Father has always been there for us and always will be. Help us to trust the One who will supply our needs . Through it all God is our all and all. Help us to rely on our Anchor, Jesus Christ.
