He Died For Me! — 5 Comments

  1. GOD bless you over and again for this post pastor William. In particular l was moved and greatly humbled by your statement below.

"Therefore God became a man and went to the cross to die and prove that He loves us so we can believe in His love. That’s how Jesus heals us from the sin of unbelief. The atonement appeases an angry race instead of an angry God."
    Thank you.

  2. Amen! Amen! Amen! So beautifully written Pastor William.
So many fail to realize the power of the cross, in how it was not only to pay a penalty but how it was to show God’s great changing power of love for our lives as you have stated so well. This calls three text to my mind, in which you wrote on the first one about it was Jesus life that saved us in,

Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

I love that word reconciled, of which you experienced in your childhood. And so in the next text it speaks of how also it’s the cross that does this,

Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

of which you so beautifully brought out, of which fulfills Christ words to the Jewish leaders, that when they would lift Him up, that it would draw all men unto Him, but many reject this drawing that slays the enmity to God and fulfills the first promise to humanity and making enmity to wards Satan, in Gen 3:15, there by giving us victory over sin.

Gen 3: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

And here is something God led me to realize since I am all about numbers. You will find that the chapters of Gen 22,
Ps 22 and Isa 22 all have to do with the cross in some way, and then it dawned on me, that the 22nd letter in the alphabet is V which stands for VICTORY✌️ In Jesus at the cross.
So you have written a real keeper here to share, so thanks and keep up the good work, it’s such a blessing.
