Inside Story: U.S. ~ Girl Prayed for Angels — 4 Comments

  1. We in America have much, much more food and things than we need. What a wake up call for the starving millions in the rest of the world. missionary stories are helpful to make a point that can help change some places in the world. God help where we can.

  2. Beautiful story and of course God is good always and moreover, always on time. I mentioned this story to our Korean pastor and he said one of his church member’s daughter is a missionary in Mongolia. I met up with this member and told her the mission story this week and showed her the picture of Joanne. She said that was her daughter. She took a copy of the lesson home. It wasn’t until she left that I realized she was the mother in the story. It was a blessing to hear the story and to actually meet those who were part of the story and to witness God’s love. I still remember that Uncle Arthur’s story and the pictures in the book when I read it as a kid. I had a similar miracle that happened to me and my family that just shows how much our heavenly Dad cares for his children. God bless!

  3. Tears rolled down my cheecks! God is REAL, He is there when we sincerely believe in his POWER! when we know He LOVES US and act like it.

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
