  1. I agree with you Lilliane about definition #4. If that were true, then the body of Christ would all be one body part. We would all be a "toe." But we are all different body parts making the body whole.

    • I spent many years wishing I was a different part of the Body of Christ. I've finally learned, with the help of the Holy Spirit, that we all have a specific job to do for the Savior.
Besides, I really don't think I'd enjoy being a toe.

  2. Jesus prayed, in John 17: 20-23, "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." Between the Father and the Son, there was only harmony. Yet they fulfilled different roles, and only the Son became human. By the power of His Holy Spirit, we also may be one with God, "partakers of the divine nature," and may "be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless" (2 Peter 1:4 and 3:14). Praise the Lord!
