  2. Physical Unity can be an Illusion

Bro William, there are certain things we agree on and this is one. Many times if you listen to other members you will hear them saying- 'I want to go back to church to meet with the brethren because I miss the members so much'.
Are we going to church to meet with the brethren, is that the purpose of going to church? Cant we meet the brethren at a 'dress up' formal/semiformal Saturday night social, on Sunday at the park etc?
While what you are saying is true, how often do others (as leaders of the SDA organization) share you understanding about going to church whether on zoom/facebook/whattapp/skype etc,
going into a physical building as church is an Illusion.

Many times I ask myself- how much of what we believe as members of a religious organization are biblical or is just an Illusion?
According to history, a church is identified by its steeple- is that true?

  3. I agree worshiping God in spirit and truth , also when 2 or more gather together in my Name God says I am there ( his presence there ) it has been great challenge for my husband and me during this covid season, we told our mothers who are old in their late eighties wouldn’t stop going to church on sabbath, because they felt the presence of God among other believers physically together in a building ( church) which was dedicated in His Name a special place to worship God , their argument our mothers said we go for shopping, bank , to work, doctors appointment, etc other places to meet our physical needs did God protect us . When it comes to go to church on sabbath we don’t want to go or think twice it’s safe to go to church. They believe God will protect them as long as they follow the rules wearing mask and keep 6 feet like distance . I miss church, worshiping together with other believers but I am a nurse I take care of covid patients with lot of protective gears know how serious this disease, it’s safer I worship God at home with zoom or TV worship service as long as I worship Him in spirit and truth . I do dress up with my church clothes, it’s sacred time with God
like I go to church . I think people have their different opinions ,their freedom of choice when it comes to worship. To me as long as worship plays an important role in life that we worship the true God who is our creator, savior and sustainer that’s all matters.

  4. Thank you for sharing your helpful insight, William - the working out of the effects after hearing God's Word spoken or written in loving consideration for better understanding is always done between the receiver and the Father; thank you for diligently and faithfully continuing to promote learning.

  5. Hello brother William! May our Lord Jesus continue blessing your beautiful work as a servant of God. I share with you on the idea of true unity in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Of course not just that of brothers and sisters of our local congregation but all church members spread all over the world. I we must pray earnestly for this essencial blessing. During the Covid pandemia with the church closed here in Roraima, Brazil, our pastor continued the worship services on Zoom. My wife, daughter of 10, and son of 7 and I however have been celebrating our own Sabbath worship at home. We have Sabbath School using materials available in the internet for children. For Worship Service we follow the same "methods" as we do in church, including worshiping in tithes and offerings. Having this Home-church has been a real blessing to us.
