Are You Ready?

Sabbath School Net Posted on March 2, 2019 by Linda MkhwanaziAugust 24, 2020avatar

If you keep up-to-date with world news, then you probably saw the headline about a South African resurrection of a dead man on Sunday the 24th of February. The videos went viral on social networks and news channels. When I saw the “resurrection” I chuckled because everything about it looked staged. From the fact that … Continue reading –>

Top 3 Mistakes to Avoid When Sharing Prophecy

The last few weeks have been pretty intense in the religio-political world. The arrival of Pope Francis in America has elicited all kinds of responses. For some, he is a breath of fresh air. For others, he is no different from any other pope apart from his “terrific PR”.1 Regardless of which position you may … Continue reading –>

Conspiracy Theories or Prophetic Facts?

Sabbath School Net Posted on October 9, 2012 by Jennifer SchwirzerOctober 11, 2017avatar

All serious-minded people experience, at some point in their lives, something like the following: After a nice social event—perhaps a dinner with guests—a discussion begins. The sad state of the world and current events provide common ground at first. Before long, someone begins to speak more—much more—than anyone else. The one-time social visit turns into … Continue reading –>

Comfortable Lies — Uneasy Truths

Sabbath School Net Posted on September 19, 2012 by Lillianne LopezDecember 31, 2014avatar

Which would you rather hear? Be honest now. Wouldn’t you rather hear that your new haircut makes you look 10 years younger rather than that it makes your ears look really, really huge? Think back to when you were dating – when you first introduced someone you’d met to your friends, you wanted to hear … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
