What We Need to Learn From Moses’ Radical Attitude Change Towards Ministry — 6 Comments

  1. I trust that by God’s grace, we are set ablaze for the mission, following an inspiring week of music, messages and ministry examples from around the globe. Indeed, I am left with a renewed view of ministry and mission, based on this week's abundant word.

The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.
So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey …” Exodus 3:7-8

What amazing work God has wrought through those whom He has called and qualified! Yet, how much more remains for us to faithfully do, as He asks, “Who will go?”

Our God walks with us. He alone can and will save us - as He did Moses and the Israelites – if we take Him at His word. By faith, we can be assured that He has our future of freedom in view. What a mighty redeeming God we serve!

  2. Thank you, Pastor William. This is exactly the reminder I needed. I lead a department of about 50 people, over half of whom are under 21, and sometimes I feel so weighed down with getting everyone to focus on serving customers instead of talking to each other. When I read the story of Moses and how he led one million people out of slavery and through a desert to freedom, that puts my work in a different perspective. I realized I haven't been spending enough time with God and that's why I was feeling overwhelmed. Thank you for the reminder to stop focusing on my challenges and to turn my focus to the cross.
