It’s the difference between a cross-centered theology and the “prosperity gospel.” Faith is knowing God is with us in our trials, and even our tragedies. Presumption is thinkng that because we are Christians we are … Continue reading –>

The Patriarchs

8: Having Faith (Matthew 11, Hebrews 11, Matthew 15, Ephesians 2) – Sabbath School Lesson Teaching Outline

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 19, 2026 by Bruce CameronMay 18, 2026Bruce Cameron

Introduction: A dear friend who worked with me on many cases routinely spent lunch time walking and talking with me about the Bible. He was a Catholic who, as he jokingly put it, “read his Bible.” Later in life, he ran into several set-backs. His wife decided not to accompany him to a new and … Continue reading –>

Jesus Tells Parable of the Mustard Plant

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 19th of May 2026 Jesus said that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you’ll move mountains (Matthew 17:20). If you’ve ever seen a mustard seed, you know how tiny it is. Yet, having faith this small can effect such huge change. Faith must, therefore, be very important … Continue reading –>

Jesus Heals the Demon Possessed Son

Just because we call ourselves followers of Jesus doesn’t automatically mean our faith is strong. In fact, some people claimed to believe, but Jesus discerned what was really … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
