  1. I do believe that the apostles studyed the word of God prayerfully, as we should. The Bible was open to them, in the law of God and the life of Christ many of them witnessed 1st hand to the great principles of holiness, without which "no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14. The apostles were convinced of sin by God's word, it revealed to them the way of salvation. As they devoured it, so could we, taking it as the voice of God speaking to our souls.
