1. Have a volunteer read Ezekiel 28:11-17.
a. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
b. How or why did Lucifer fall from heaven?
c. Personal Application : What are the challenges of free will in your life? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your relatives states: “Satan is not a real person, but a symbol of the evil in the human heart.” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Revelation 12:3-9.
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
b. How did the devil deceive one third of the angels in heaven to follow him instead of God? (Note : See Isaiah 9:14-16. I believe the dragon’s tail represents the lies he propagated in heaven and continues here on the earth.)
c. Personal Application: Have you ever seen this warfare in any sense in your life? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your friends states, “What is the one thousand two hundred and threescore days that the woman fled from the dragon?” How would you respond to your friend?
3. Have a volunteer read Romans 3:20-26.
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. Is the gospel here negating the law or is it closely related to the law?
c. Personal Application: How does our hope for eternity related to our faithfulness and obedience to God? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study: One of your neighbors states, “What doe it mean that Christ’s blood is for the remission of sins that are past? Does that mean He doesn’t cover future sins? How would you respond to your neighbor?
4. Have a volunteer read Revelation 14:12.
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. What is the relationship between the faith of Jesus and our obedience to the commandments of God?
c. Personal Application: How can we show others that obedience to the law is not legalism but an outgrowth of love toward God? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.
